A BEE-FRIENDLY PATIO

I designed the patio planting for this large family garden in Dulwich.  The structure of this charming patio space was already in place but the planting had become tired and neglected.  Soil levels had dropped and shrubs were dominating.  The brief was to make this area friendly to bees and wildlife with beautiful planting. My clients look out onto this area from large glass kitchen doors so it needed to have a wow factor, seasonal interest and strong winter structure.
